Chrissy Teigen — everyone's favorite model, cookbook author, and TV personality — has a lot of opinions when it comes to food.
Opinions like turkey sucks — and, to be fair, it does. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One of her tips I recently came across? Her trick for making super crispy roasted potatoes.
The secret? Teigen suggests preheating your roasting pan in the oven for 10 minutes before you add your potatoes.
"Heat the pan of oil for 10 minutes before pouring on your potatoes, flip halfway through," read Teigen's caption.
While fairy simple, the technique seems to have quite a following online, and several people swear by the technique for cooking various items from chicken breasts to French fries.
Think of it this way: If you were going to make crispy potatoes on the stovetop, you would preheat your skillet with a little bit of oil before you add them, so why would cooking them in the oven be any different?
